Our Story

Kim Cash opened the doors to her first store on 41 High Street in Willimantic, CT in 2013.

Kim saw the need in her hometown for a secondhand clothing store that was unique and affordable. With sustainable fashion on the rise as well as a growing consciousness toward going green, a secondhand store fit perfectly into the ever evolving town of Willimantic.

In response to its instant popularity, Bliss expanded to double its size within the first 2 months of opening its doors. Over the next year, she saw the growing need and affection for affordable, sustainable fashion in surrounding areas, as well. Kim opened her second store in 2015 in the newly developed Storrs Center.

In 2018, Kim’s commitment to the revitalization, growth and development of Willimantic inspired her to purchase a building in the downtown area. Shortly thereafter, she closed the doors to her other locations and merged both business models into a larger space at 34 North Street.

Kim’s vision to include other local businesses and artists began to evolve in this new location. In 2019, she established Bliss Marketplace which includes Bliss Resale Clothing alongside a collection of vendors who bring their own unique goods and creations. The marketplace is now a neighborhood one-stop destination to restyle your wardrobe, recycle your unwanted clothing, and find other repurposed goods and wares such as furniture, antiques, plants, vinyl records, jewelry, and more.
